Port of Orillia is a great stop. You enter the marina as soon as you pass through the two barrier islands. Our boat has a high profile and on the day we arrived, we had 30 knot crosswinds. Even though our assigned slip was on the outer end of the docks (easiest to access), the crosswind was making it very difficult to get into our assigned windward slip. The marina had three dock hands (with two other boaters) on the docks to us get tied up - all were a great, and much appreciated, help. The docks are all new, composite decking with power/water pedestals for every slip. The marina was rebuilt from a fire in 2012, so the facilities are all new. It has several restrooms with private showers, two free washers and dryers, and the docks are secured with combination security gates The marina has free Wi-Fi, but it was very intermittent and unstable at the outer docks. However, walking up to the office where they had comfortable tables and chairs the Wi-Fi worked great. Orillia is a fun and interesting town, with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars all within a few blocks of the marina. There is a Metro grocery store across the street from the marina, and the LCBO is only two blocks from the marina.

This was perhaps our favorite Marina on the Loop thus far. Excellent well protected dock's with security gate, Fantastic facilities (private shower/head/sink pods, with free laundry), and in immediate walking distance to a great Metro grocery store, super large Drug Store, LCBO, and tons of restaurants / micro breweries... all literally across the street from the Marina. We spent 3 days here, met up with friends from Toronto, and thoroughly enjoyed the Marina and the town. We will be returning during every trip in the future.

Floating docks are synthetic planks (great shape) and pedestals are newer as well. Staff are super helpful and accommodating. Two free washers and dryers. Many private restroom/shower units. Combination security gate. WiFi works great. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars close by. Town of Orillia has a great vibe. Many biking/walking trails. Great stop for the price and one of my personal favorites on the loop.

Three nights 5/20/2024 to 5/23/2024 due to weather. They advertise the Port of Orillia is the jewel of the Trent Severn Waterway. I found the marina to match some of the best marinas I have visited. The port does not have fuel or pump but recommend McGregor-On-The-Water at the north end of Couchiching Lake. The marina building includes the office, lounge, modern spacious restroom/showers units, and complimentary laundry. The floating docks, cleats, and service ports installed in 2011 are in excellent condition. A short distance is Main St with eateries. On an adjacent road is a Metro, and Shopper Pharmacy. I recommend the Port of Orillia.

Shout out to Karen and the team at Port of Orillia. Karen went way above and beyond to assure that we received a delivery that arrived after our departure, on her day off no less. Many thanks!

Transient only, easy in and out. Nice washrooms nd free laundry reminiscent of Trent Port. Close to numerous shops and restaurants. No fuel or Pumpout. Decent security with locked gates, washrooms. Still construction zone between marina & town.

Good size marina with lots of transient space. Very close to restaurants, breweries, stores and LCBO. Only problem is there is construction in front of the marina so you have to follow a gravel path to get out. Nice private restrooms and free laundry. Well run marina with friendly staff. Only reason for not a 5 star is because of construction.

First class marina! New harbor building; immaculately clean individual shower rooms; beautiful synthetic wood floating docks; wide slips; FREE laundry; large beautiful park right next door; staff is constantly doing maintenance to keep the Port shipshape, even " mowing" and using pitch forks to clean out grass in the marina; an easy 10-minute walk to an extremely well-stocked grocery; a 5- minute walk to a craft brewery; and multiple excellent restaurants within easy walking distance (don't miss Sanafir Mediterranean restaurant... the food is exceptional!!). There is a lot of construction along the waterfront, but it's barely noticeable from the docks. Port Orillia is a don't miss destination on the Trent-Seven.

Visited 7/31 - 8/1/2022.
Positives: Lovely location, friendly staff, locked marina, excellent docks, spotless bathrooms and free laundry
Negatives: weed overgrowth is awful, no pump out, no fuel and we were churning up mud with 4.5 draft.
Overall, we would stay here againView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Nice marina and walking distance to town with lots of restaurants, shops, grocery store and liquor store. Three negatives: 1. Extra $10 charge if you want access to the restrooms, shower and laundry. 2. Folded cleats made it nearly impossible to tie up without help. 3. Loud music and noisy people since it was a weekend. Overall nice place and town.

Port of Orillia is a nice marina with newish floating docks. We paid 10 CAN to have access to the clean bathrooms/showers and "free" laundry. They have no pump out or fuel. The main negative is that many slips had weeds (eelgrass?). We were concerned about sucking up vegetation into our engine and air conditioning strainers so we changed slips. Marina staff rake out the weeds occasionally. A nice park, restaurants and stores are within walking distance.

Spent two nights here at the end of July, 2022. Easy to make a reservation. Inside the break walls there was a lot of vegetation which resulted in wacky depth readings but there was no issue with actual depth. Docks in very good condition. However, all the cleats fold down flat. Although that reduces trip hazards it almost necessitates that someone be on the dock to help by flipping up the cleats. There's a nonrefundable CA$10 charge to get a key card for the restrooms/showers. Restrooms/showers are new and spotlessly clean. Restaurants, groceries, hardware, pharmacy, etc. within walking distance of the marina. This is a good place to stop before pushing through the last four locks before Georgian Bay.

Excellent marina, with very good staff. New docks and facility in 2012. Close to everything in Orillia and reasonable rates. Paid for 2 days and got 3rd free over the 4th of July. Several “loopers” here now.
