Stayed at this marina for a month and could not be happier. We booked here so we could catch a flight back home for 3 weeks (Thanksgiving and family functions) and then resume our trip South. The airport is 40 minutes away (about $30 uber ride) and has a lot of flight options. The docks are really nice. Floating and very large, easy to dock in. The docks also have concrete bollards in a protected cove so we had zero fear of leaving our boat for 3 weeks, even if a storm hit. The facilities are clean and the restaurant on property is nice and the people are fun. There is a nicer restaurant adjacent to this property, so if looking for a nice evening out it's a 5 minute walk. We were also able to have packages delivered and the marina office accepted and held them for us. The price, location, and facilities are top notch and would highly recommend.

We came to this marina after our existing reservations fell through at the Lightkeeper's marina close by. Interesting little bay, packed FULL with a bunch of marinas. The entrance is marketed by a large prop style lighthouse that reminds you of the putt putt course lighthouses.
This was a great find, and we will go back. Great help on the VHF and it's nice when you see dockhands waiting for you. The fuel prices were great as was the private Officer's Club that allows slip holders and transients access. We had a long day, and this was just what we needed. Cool drinks and decent food. Maybe not gourmet level, but was still very nice and we enjoyed relaxing in a warm spot in November. Bathrooms were outdated but very clean. Really enjoyed the brief stay.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Walt and the staff at MBYC are top notch. They had a great winter program (mid Nov thru mid Apr) to keep our boat as we waited for warmer weather to continue our travel north. Well protected marina with good floating docks, pump outs at each slip and very low fuel cost. They were very helpful in finding supplies as we worked on a long list or projects. The full timers welcomed us like we were members - including us in many of their social events. Highly recommend!

Communication in advance and coming into marina was excellent. Dock hands and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Fairways are a little tight but not unreasonable. Depending on where your slip assignment is, you may have along walk to restrooms / showers / laundry. Dryers will take 2 full runs to dry clothes. Large tide changes but minimal current in marina. Nice ships store. A few restaurant options close. We'd return without hesitation.

We stopped in for a couple days rest the last week of July 2022. Wish I could remember their names but a young woman and gentleman helped us dock. Docks are old but ok. Make sure you have your mountain climbing gear to walk off the dock during low tide. It is a steep walk up the Gangway. The pool was great to relax in. Their on site restaurant was closed, no one could really tell me why but next door was a great steak house! This is a quiet marina although located right on highway 17. Showers and restrooms were in great condition very clean. Next time in the area we will stay there again.

This is a good marina. Although it is a Yacht Club, they accept transients for short stays. A lotta of liveaboards here, and all the ones I met were friendly and interested in the stories of our travels.
Restrooms and laundry both clean and functional.
Pool was great, especially since we had it mostly to ourselves.
Although I didn't get fuel, it was reasonably priced. Pump out doesn't work real good at the end of the line, which is where we were.
One downside that we experienced: The Officer's Club. Although I'm sure they have some offerings that are good, the Liver & Onions were terrible! Sauteed in butter (lots of it) and then bacon added. Anything you add bacon to is going to taste like bacon. Not a good move on the chef's part.
Overall a good marina that I would definitely visit again. Next time I'll try Clark's for dinner, which is right next door and also supposed to be a good restaurant.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very sheltered, very accommodating and helpful, nice facilities. Easy DIY pump out right in slip a bonus. Other than restaurant nearby, anything else would require car transportation as is on a busy highway with no sidewalks so not even good for biking

October 26 2021: Had pleasure of docking here on several occasions. Actually would have stopped more times in years before if I realized it was not an actual Yacht club but an open for business marina. Older but well kept clean facility. Good place to hide if winds/weather are a concern. Nice to have pump outs right at the docks and included with your stay at no additional charge.

Third stop here while in transit; always a great experience. Lots of friendly boaters and helpful staff. You'll need a splitter for conversion from 50 to 30 amps. Reserve Uber for ride to airport, as they are hard to come by (thanks COVID).

Sent an email asking about available or coming available slips for a 45' boat. Email was sent to info@. The reply was "Sorry...we are currently at full capacity." No name, no offer to add to a waiting list, nothing.
So I replied with a question about a waiting list. Answer? "We do not keep a wait list. We turn away about 10 boaters a day so a list is not feasible."
Still no name on the email. If you think I would ever spend a dime with an organization that behaves this poorly, you couldn't be more wrong.
If I knew who the owner(s) were, I'd make every effort to make them aware of how unprofessional their staff are. Unfortunately, leadership begins at the top so they are very likely already aware of or even involved in the complete and utter incompetence.
I cannot imagine having my boat here. It would surely be a complete disaster in every aspect.WG Editor Comment:
Marina Response:
In response to the review left by Phil Jewett, I would like to apologize if he feels we are unprofessional at MBYC. Each of the 153 slips at MBYC are individually owned and our policy is to not give out the slip owner's information. We also do not keep a waiting list for individuals wanting long term dockage due to the volume of requests we get at MBYC.
With the number of boats that have been sold in the last year and the growth in new residents in our area, available boat slips have become very rare. This includes transient slips. Boaters need to understand this and make requests far in advance. This seems to be a problem at most of the other marinas in this area and does not seem to be ending any time soon.

I stopped here for fuel, water and overnight during the November migration. The spot is super protected. The wifi was able to provide a decent stream. Is there any more one wants after a gusty day?

The marina welcomed us as we ran from Hurricane Mathew. It is a very safe and secure marina. Great staff and good facilities with restaurants on site and next door. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We weathered the hurricane there and stayed for just on six months.

We stayed 4 nights at MBYC waiting for the flood waters to recede so we could get under the fixed bridges. This is a very welcoming place. The dock staff are friendly and efficient. The other lives boards feel like family. The facilities (laundry, bathrooms and showers) are good. Wifi was weak at the dock.

Service is great, fuel prices are very competitive. Private Captain's lounge for guests with a really nice pool. Docks are in great shape, and every slip has power, electric and pump-out. Be cautious of the entrance coming in; avoid the north side, don't cut the channel marker. Leila is great!
