All the 5 star reviews of this marina are true with one BIG exception--the horrible unreliable internet service. We spent six days at this marina--the staff was competent and friendly, especially the dockmaster JT. The elctricity was on and off for quite some time, but the staff finally figured out which boat was blowing the circuit breakers and just unplugged that offending boat, and then the electric was dependable. But the internet service NEVER worked well.
In today's world, everything is on-line. How a city like Petoskey with what looks like a first class marina can tolerate such poor internet activity is beyond me. Even the smallest marinas on our trip had good service. In speaking to some locals on the dock, we found out that the poor internet service has been a feature of this marina for years.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Due to weather constraints we got to spend seven nights here at this great marina! Good electric power, good water pressure, wide slips, easy approach and fairly protected. Excellent friendly staff, very clean rest rooms and showers, nice captains lounge with laundry. Very short walking distance to town with lots of stores, bars and restaurants and West Marine. Enterprise rental two miles away. Fuel was $4.15, pump out was $10. Amazon packages get delivered to City Hall which is right across the street so very secure and convenient.

I can't say enough about this place. The marina is nice, restrooms are clean and the town is fantastic. We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed longer. Don't miss this stop, there is so much to do in this town. We even got to play Pickleball at the Riverbend Park.

Petoskey Marina. The diesel on 5 June was $4.299/gal. Well maintained marina with short walking access to downtown. The ambience is very pleasant with the marina situated adjacent to a nice park. Sayed two nights.

We love Petoskey. Marina is basic but has all the amenities we need, laundry, water, electricity. It was understaffed when we arrived with only a single person working but she was very helpful and efficient. Loaner bikes were nice, used them several times. A great little town.

This marina continues to be one of the nicest in the region. Clean rest rooms and showers, courteous and knowledgeable deck hands, excellent wi-fi, loaner bikes, two block walk to town, 2 network TV channels. Reservations are through the Michigan DNR

We stayed on the concrete dock (A) with a great view of the sunset and all the folks that came to watch it. The docks have square post as well as cleats and were rugged but sufficient. They have nice loaner bicycles. The marina is surrounded by beautiful parks and a small but pretty waterfall an easy walk north of the marina.

A very well run marina. Unlike a lot of the area, they seem to have plenty of slips. Dock hands are competent. Clean shower and restroom. Showers are separate from restrooms and have no sinks or mirrors.
Petoskey is a nice little city. There is a great hardware store a ½ mile from the marina. It has a little bit of everything, including home goods, but no marine supplies. Excellent pizza and beer at Beards Brewery.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

One of the nicest marinas we have stayed in. Great Dock Hands who are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Docks are in great shape and all the facilities are super nice. Close to town with some good restaurants. Lots of green space to take a dog for a very long walk. Right next to a great spot to look for Petoskey stones.

Petoskey City Marina is an excellent Marina. The staff are very professional and comprehensive of transient boater needs and boating operations. Petoskey is a wonderful place to stay with some excellent restaurants and things to do for young and old alike. Excellent shelter in a storm, the Marina is well-protected. Across the bay there are several marinas that can actually work on your boat if you need service. Transient boater cost here is very reasonable. Drug stores and restaurants within walking distance for those who need these. Photo opportunities are astounding here because there are many things to photograph. Right near the marina is the old Petoskey train station converted to a museum. This is a must-see. Provisioning is simple. The only drawbacks were no Courtesy car and the internet had problems there. The latter was not a huge event as I could Hotspot with my cell phone but the internet system has sporadic issues. That being the only negative, I'm still giving this Marina five stars.

The location of this marina is ideal--two blocks from a bustling downtown, and next to a 25 miles bike trail along the bay. The dockhands are competent and willing to help; the power and water are good, the fixed docks are sturdy with good tie downs. The bathroom and shower facilities are excellent and kept very clean. Parking for cars is available next to the marina with a pass for your length of stay.
