6-14-24 As members of MTOA we stopped on our way to D.C., what a great group of people! There is nothing close to this area, but a courtesy car is available for provisions at a local grocery, or an Ace Hardware.

This is a good, no frills marina. The staff were great!! Very protected from the winds from all directions. Great price on ice. The bathrooms and boaters lounge were nice. They have a couple of courtesy cars. I was able to get a haircut in town. We also did a run to the grocery and hardware stores. The diesel pump was really slow. All in all, good place to stop.

This is a wonderful, welcoming marina. While the docks show some age they are in good repair. Power and water work as expected. Very protected. Well located if you want to have visitors from Richmond or DC area.

Good courtesy vehicles. Nice Pool. Great facilities for gatherings. Loaner bicycles.

Stayed September 5, 2021. A bit far up the river but a real winner. Older docks but well kept with a nice pool.

I keep my boat in a covered slip at this marina. It's an older marina in an area rich with history. Very friendly owners with lots of knowledge of the area. Amazing sunsets can be seen from just about anywhere on land or in the water.

There is a fuel dock and bathhouses with clean hot showers. Lots of friendly boat owners around. Courtesy vehicles for transient boaters wanting to going into town for shopping.

We have winter stored our boat at Olversons for the past 3 years. The location is a bit rural, but the courtesy cars help with that. The showers are great and the hospitality is great. Have been on the edge of a hurricane and the marina is very well protected. Fred has installed a very good WiFi recently. ATT signal is a bit spotty, but the WiFi is great. Olversons is the official home port of MTOA where members get one night a year free.

The owner Fred Olverson is a great host and provides any support you need, from the use of marina courtesy cars need to pick up supplies from the local stores.
Fuel (gas and diesel ) located at his fuel dock manned and staffed. Call ahead on VHF 16 and they will guide you in.
Well protected from bad weather with a great view for sunrises and sunsets. Long docks located at the end able to handle 100' vessels.
My place to go when were on the bay or in the area.

To paraphrase an old wag...Olverson’s has been a resort marina sine before resort marinas were popular! Real swimming pool too!
With about 300 slips and many of them covered, this deep water facility is an old timer family owned business. Diesel and gas pumps, two concrete launching ramps and acres of parking (and land storage for trailers, RVs and boats).
It is about 12 miles from the mouth of the Potomac River to the Yeocomico River on the Virginia side. Then follow the markers to Lodge Creek.
Lots of room for visiting yachts and trailer boats too! A sizable community of permanent or seasonal slip holders this is an older laid back lifestyle. There are no “haulout facilities “ here but a substantial travel lift and marine railway is only a mile away.
Many MTOA and AGLCA member boats stop here.
