Beardrop Harbour

Lat / Lon: N 46° 09.741' / W 082° 37.510'
Depth: At least 10 feet
Description:
Scenic, with good rock climbing and blueberries and the occasional black bear. Watch for shoals to the north side. As you pass the rocks forming a small point about halfway down the island to your right, turn wide toward the island, and anchor within. There is also a shoal area to the northeast side.

This anchorage is exposed to west winds, but if your draft allows tucking in close to the small island at the west end, west winds will be completely mitigated. On the day I was there, boats anchored in the middle of the harbour only got small riffles in 15+ mph west winds.

Mind your charts when entering the anchorage. There is room for a lot of boats. Good holding. A great anchorage.

Great anchorage, little wavy in West wind. Very quiet and peaceful even with a rental party boat near. Lots of swing room and plenty of space for 30 boats.
