Almost went for a swim. The clear water showed us all the grass & weeds, but the anchor came up cleaner than we expected. No clogging of bow thruster.
Beautiful real estate / surroundings, well protected. 6 feet of water typically... seemed a bit shallow for our 4 ft draft, but we had no problem coming in by Elephant's Back rock. We'd certainly stay again.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Draft: 3.4'Overall Rating:4Holding:4Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:5Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1We were told by another Looper to enter from the North. We entered from the South passing north of Elephant Back, then between Ina Island & Idlewild Island and we had no problem with depth. We actually did not anchor where the icon shows as we were concerned about the submerged cables between the homes so we moved more north to the less protected portion. We had about a 10 kt wind from the S/SW but was fine. The anchor held well but did drag a little at first probably because of the grassy bottom. There was a TON of grass on the anchor and chain when we retrieved it in the morning. Some wakes from small boats and jet skis during the day. Great anchorage with room for plenty of boats. Great stop between Boldt Castle & Singer Castle.
