It has excellent wind and current protection. The south side of the bay is a forested wilderness park area with a lot of quiet trails and a few sandy beach areas. There is nothing around the area in the way of restaurants or other services. The park is very dog friendly. It is a very peaceful anchorage, and we wound up staying for two days.

Crystal clear water. Sandy mud with a bit of weed. We had beautiful weather with no wind so can't comment on holding but it seems very protected. Some wakes from passing vessels. Easy to take dinghy or paddle board ashore to the state park for dog walks on the hiking trails.
