Known locally as Nixon's Beach named after the location of the Florida Whitehouse when RMX was president. There is a very large wharf like structure in front of his 2 story house that is actually the helipad used by Marine One back in the day. Today it is used as dock for visiting mega yachts.

Nav Alert comment on FL: Boot Key, Dangerous Submerged Wreck
Comment by: Addison Chan, SV Threepenny Opera, on Apr 4, 2021
Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 42'
Draft: 5.0'A vessel hit an underwater obstruction which they presumed to be a wreck of a part of a wreck. Their hull received a deep 15’ long scratch in the hull under the waterline and their keel cooler was destroyed.
The water is murky in this area so the wreck is not visible. Extreme caution is advised.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
