Exposed to East through North winds. Good 6'+ depth even though low tide. Room for lots of boats. Great holding. Several pods of dolphins entertained us. Far enough off channel where wakes were of no concern. Easy access off channel, watch charts while entering for one shallow shoal.

There were several navigation hazards in the channel after hurricane Irma. When we arrived the hazards had been removed and they were working on the shoaling at the entrance. Saying that, there are boats in the marina using the same channel up to 60' . Just follow channel markers closely, stay nearer docking side of channel for more depth.. Beautiful anchorage. 2/21/18

Great anchorage in the middle of Marco island. Homes and hotels line the shoreline. You can dinghy to Rose Marina for a small fee. Lots of boat traffic and wakes. It did quiet down after dark. Well protected from the Southeast through the Northwest. Plenty of swing room for several boats. 9- 11' below our boat. Great access to restaurants by dinghy!

Be very careful entering this anchorage. We have a draft of 4' and touched on the way in. It was 1 1/2 hours prior to high tide with strong east winds. Enter between no wake sign and shore nearest bridge. Once you get in there is about 9' of water. Very protected. There are crab pots so we used a stern anchor as well as our bow.

One of the best anchorages! We did go up river a bit more and anchor on the mouth of the next branch to the left as there was a house anchored to shore near the mark on this post. Plenty of room and depths up to 30'+. There were a couple fishing boats that roared by. But totally quiet and peaceful all night. Excellent wind protection. We did use a back anchor to keep us close to the NW shore and out of the main channel. Great depth from the time you leave the intercoastal. Some shoaling on the left bank turning in so stay more right of center when leaving the intercoastal. May be a bit mucky for pets depending on the time of year.

Good holding! Make sure anchor sets. Entrance is a little tricky. Turn directly after passing under bridge. Then follow bouys and stay closer to boats on North side of harbor. We anchored in about 14'. Can be busy depending on the time of year. Restaurants all around with docks for dinghy. If it's really windy you will move around as it's a small bay open to all directions.

Great protected spot! Narrow channel entering but, so worth it! Protected from all winds. You may have to watch pets as I'm not sure if there are alligator's. Great hold. There is one mooring ball. Not sure I would trust it.

We had no less than 15'. There is a shore, however, I would worry for pets with the alligator's. 3 bars with Verizon. Very quiet. There are fishing boats that used the channel frequently, so you get some wake from them. Solid holding use back anchor as well. Deep fairly close to shore.

Great quiet Anchorage. There is rock mixed with mud. But front anchor set fine. Had trouble setting smaller back anchor in the rocks. Well out of the channel so, no big wake issues. Was a bit shallow 9/17 to go up the smaller channel so we stayed near South end of the island. Beautiful.

Friendly helping staff. It's a little over a mile bike ride to town. Or you can take your dinghy across the river and park on the city wall at no charge. Then maybe 1/4-1/2 mile walk to down town of St. Joseph. Great safe town. Lots to do. Grocery store is quite a ways away. They have Uber or the guys offered to give us a ride from the marina!

Nice anchorage. You are a bit exposed in a NW wind and may get some wake action as it isn't a no wake area. There is a city marina, a park, and a boat launch easily accessible. Restaurant near the marina and boat launch.
