Way to go West Basin in differentiating from other marina locations... Clean and comfortable laundry room, boater lounge and showers/restrooms... and free laundry machines, individual laundry detergents and courtesy bikes. Again, did I mention clean and well maintained?! Boat slips in protected marina tucked in from main river. Well maintained, fixed docks in good shape. Few cleats but plenty of pilings to tie to. Calm setting.. Park like setting with pavilions and picnic tables. Short walk to northern beach/dunes for sunset and enjoyment. Main town is across the river and is within walking distance. Shortcut from marina office to Whirlpool parking, to bridge. Very easy by bike to restaurants and shops and ice cream and historical spots and benches over looking Lake Michigan. Office has small selection of marine supplies. We did not have anyone to help with catching lines, nor did we need assistance since we were at end of T dock. Nice staff, but be sure to leave message if no one answers phone. They will call back shortly. Enjoyed our two nights here.

Staff was amazing. They were in the middle of haul-out season but still gave full service. Sheila actually called me after she had an opening and said she had a spot for us. The fuel and pump (only five bucks) is done professionally. I felt like I was at a 1950s Texaco gas station with so many attendants. The showers and bathrooms are clean. And they have two new W&Ds and they are currently free (Sept 2023). They even put out servings of laundry. They will recycle for you, but the only recycle bin is in the service shop across the parking lot, which is open M-F. You can dinghy across the river and tie up at the wall and access Silver Beach Pizza, Silver Harbor Brewing, the beach, and the rest of downtown. This is a great place to stay.

Great marina, well kept and friendly/helpful staff. Easy check-in. Only stayed one night. Warren Wolf of Wolf Marine came and picked us up and returned us to the marina after doing shopping at his store.

Loved this marina. The staff were friendly and professional. The check-in process was easy. The walk into town was long, but they has loaner bikes. Restrooms were nice and clean. Easy in and out from the Lake.

Another example of a well placed, well constructed and operated municipal marina . . . Fuel (diesel & gas), Free Laundry (1washer/1 dryer), including detergent . . . Nice bathrooms/showers . . . Captain's Lounge . . . Loaner bicycles . . . Plenty of "green space" for pets . . . Walk to town (+/-1 mile), restaurants there, Uber limited (available weekends) . . . SJRYC, adjacent to the marina, does accept "reciprocity" benefits if a member of another YCA affiliate . . . Dockmaster was very helpful upon arrival and during our stay . . .

Beautifully kept marina. Fuel, pump-out, travel lift, individual and gang washrooms, individual showers, boaters lounge and loaner bikes. Not a lot of services nearby, but loaner bikes are available or as others have mentioned a dinghy ride across the channel. Before all of the bridges that must lift to reach the other marina's here. Very well protected.

Very nice visit at West Basin in Saint Joe’s Michigan. Andrew, Steve and the rest of the staff were outstanding, keeping the facilities beautifully maintained and docks in excellent shape. Dockside gas barbecues, picnic tables, rides into town, FREE laundry and lots of screen green spaces for the family pet. Short ride over to Saint Joe by bike or even shorter by dinghy, but across the channel. Short walking distance to beach and lighthouse.

Friendly helping staff. It's a little over a mile bike ride to town. Or you can take your dinghy across the river and park on the city wall at no charge. Then maybe 1/4-1/2 mile walk to down town of St. Joseph. Great safe town. Lots to do. Grocery store is quite a ways away. They have Uber or the guys offered to give us a ride from the marina!
