Ducked into here for a blow from the NW. Gave the shoal right before the anchorage to the east a wide berth and had no issue. Anchor reset when the winds shifted hard 180 deg without too much drama. Soft mud, which you will get to enjoy while pulling anchor. Deltaville Marina is super accommodating and I highly recommend paying the $11 to use their facilities, including courtesy car, bikes, showers, and pool.

Good protection from the WNW winds that came up for us. Had some chop as the winds shifted more northerly. Good holding, no issues.

5.5' draft and made it easily on to the end of the dock after running aground trying to enter the anchorage. Easy access to restaurants, shops, and bars. Had to stay an extra day because of weather and the town office was accommodating and understanding, even though others had just been kicked off for taking advantage (it was also February, so not a lot of traffic). Very nice town.

We could not get in to the anchorage with our 5.5' draft, ran aground near low tide. We backed out and managed to pull into the end of the dock with no issue.
