Good anchorage. Soft mud and needed good wash down. Bay was quiet. Deltaville Tap and Raw Bar a quick dinghy ride (tie up for $5 a day) at the marina dock. Food was excellent! A nice wooded trail to Deltaville Maritime Museum with a wooded trail to see sculptures of water birds was a plus.

Great anchorage near the marina...and tap/raw bar restaurant. Good protection from all ways except SE...but really tucked in the channel. Lots of other boats but we went further back and plenty of room. Fun to dinghy around Jackson Creek and see the houses and other boats. Very pet friendly walking near the Deltaville boat yard and the museum. Shady paths. We walked to hardware store about a mile away...easy flat walk.

Great anchorage just outside of Deltaville Marina. We stopped here for one night and did not go ashore, but we understand that Deltaville marina is very accommodating. We had only 2 bars on our T-Mobile phone. There are many wifi options but we didn't have the passwords. We anchored in 10 feet of water with 70 feet of chain and our Rocna anchor held well. There is room for 8-10 boats (we had 5). We will definitely come here again.

Ducked into here for a blow from the NW. Gave the shoal right before the anchorage to the east a wide berth and had no issue. Anchor reset when the winds shifted hard 180 deg without too much drama. Soft mud, which you will get to enjoy while pulling anchor. Deltaville Marina is super accommodating and I highly recommend paying the $11 to use their facilities, including courtesy car, bikes, showers, and pool.

Protection from wind/waves is excellent. Some wind exposure from 120 to 140 degrees (SE) but waves/fetch will be limited by shoal across the inlet to this creek.

Holding is good with soft dark mud. Nearby Deltaville Marina offers dinghy access for $5 per day. Full marina amenities (included loaner car) are available for anchored vessels for additional fee of $11 per person per day. Weekly and monthly rates are also available.

West Marine, grocery store, hardware store, and post office are within bike riding distance. LP refill is approximately 6.4 miles away.
