I will give the staff in the office a 5 star rating. Especially Leslie the general manger. Our stay here was great with an exception. The exception is the service manager. He gets a negative rating.
We scheduled work to be completed a month in advance of our arrival. Upon our arrival it was one excuse after another. It was not completed because the service manager can't schedule his way out of a paper bag. If you say you're going to complete work on a certain day. Do it. Don't lip service customers. I do not recommend any looper or cruiser to have work performed here especially if you are a transient. Transient work is low priority. My honest opinion he should be fired. He was rude and unprofessional when we asked when our work would be done. Never again. Lesson learned.

The bridge tender is super nice. It opens on the hour and half hour. Call to let him know you are coming. They are currently building a brand new bridge right next to it. There were no delays as of this date. Just be aware.

We passed at low tide and the fender boards read 25'. Please note this was a lunar low tide.

Once you pass through the bridge the depths increase dramatically. We saw 30' going Northbound

The railroad bridge is in the open position except when a train comes through. The current is pretty strong. Stay alert. Follow the USACE survey for current depths. We had 13.9' on a rising tide.

Very responsive bridge tender. Check the height boards on the fender walls before proceeding. Add 3' to the height of what the boards state. This morning we had 17' on the board's showing so the middle was 20'. The tide rising or falling will make a difference.

The lock master is very nice. The drop is about 14 feet when the water from the lake is high. This is why wait times can be long at this location.

We've locked through here twice. It is always a long wait no matter if you call ahead. Be prepared. It's usually 40 mins or longer.
