Great little spot to stop. Free dock free power, using the 50 amp. I back in the spot at the blue power pole. About 12 feet away from the edge I still had six feet under me.

Town close by has amenities for provisions if needed.

Tie up above lock preferred. Below has current from dam. Nice quiet little park. One power location, a blue switch box at upper end of tie off wall. You will need a long cord. Easy hike to town, The Table at Fort Plain is a nice restaurant. Save A Lot groceries store in town. No showers, has portable potty.

The lock wall west of Lock 15 has room for a couple of boats - one along the wall and one along the embayment (like a marina slip) at the end of the lock wall. There is one power pedestal along the embayment that can be reached from both docking locations. The power pedestal has a 50 amp, 30 amp and two 15 amp plugs. They all work. There is a port-a-potty near rhe lock office. The Village of Fort Plain is a half mile walk along a paved bike path and well worth the walk! The Dutch Country Market has an assortment of bulk food, Amish goods, and various other foods. We picked up some great beef sticks, chocolate covered goodies and more! The Plain Food Co-op also had a good selection of foods, bulk foods, dried fruit, and various chocolate covered items. Save A Lot grocery store is a regular small town grocery store. The Fort Plain Museum is outside of town but worth the walk (check online for the open days and hours).

Perfect spot to rest for a night or two. Potable water near the gaurd house to fill up a few jugs if need be. All power at pedestal was working great and best of all it is free. True Value hardware store in town had everything we needed to get the old girl ship shape. Highly recommend this spot!

Limited power only 30 Amp is working. Plenty of green space for dogs to walk. Can be a bit noisy with trains and traffic, didn't bother us. Bow in so props stick out towards the river. Still saw 9ft.

There is one large slip at the west end of the approach wall on the west side of the lock. No cleats, just tie to the power pole and the base of the lamp post. One power pedestal provides 15, 30 and 50 amp service. The slip has 6 foot depth. If docking at the end of the lock operations day, another vessel could tie up along side the wall to share the power pedestal. This is a pleasant park setting, but offers no water or restrooms other than a porta-potty. A short walk into the town of Fort Plain would yield access to Family Dollar, Save-a-Lot, True Value Hardware, animal hospital and others along with several restaurants. 1.2 mile walk will get you to the Grapes of Wrath wine and liquor store.
It was a quiet night stopped here and the trains running along the other side of the river did not bother us.

Beautiful park setting on the west side of lock 15. Several large trees provide a lot of shade. Free wall with one power pedestal with 30 and 50 amp power available. Picnic tables and charcoal grill. Lots of grass for the dog to enjoy themselves.
