Green Turtle Cay is a Port of Entry for the Bahamas. Check with your marina to make arrangements to clear in with Customs.
The island of Green Turtle Cay is divided into two halves. The northern half is centered around White Sound and features the world-famous Green Turtle Club and Marina. The southern half contains the actual settlement, New Plymouth. The town is most easily accessed from the roadstead anchorage near-shore, or from the marina/moorings in Black Sound.
The Green Turtle Club Fishing Tournament held in May draws scores of fishing enthusiasts. For more information, contact Green Turtle Club (866-528-0539/242-365-4271), which more or less becomes the tournament's official headquarters each year.
