Nice overnight stop. Pretty good current in the ICW made for an exciting entrance. Made it, but thought I touched bottom on the way to the side tie w/ 4' draft at high tide. Maybe my imagination? Walked to a nearby Mexican Food restaurant for takeout as they were about to close (Sunday night, Memorial Day weekend). This was the end of a 100 mile day, so the stop was most welcome.

Great stop when traveling. We have been here 3 times. Restaurants within walking distance. Be prepared so go in and tie up on starboard. Once getting in not a lot of room.

Great overnight stop. Ann was very quick to respond and sent suggestions for places to eat within walking distance. Tied up to a concrete wall- had power and water. Nice park beside the dock if you have pets or children traveling with you.

Marinas for pleasure craft are few and far between on this stretch of the ICW. This one is entirely adequate. Long wall for side tie, a few power pedastals. On a busy night, late comers could conveiveably find all the power points in use.
Safe place to tie up, 50amp and 30amp power, water and pumpout. I did not use water or pumpout.
Next to a small city park with playground, and ample dog-walking space.
No security.
I arrived late. The harbormaster did not answer the phone, and his voice-mailbox was full. I sent an email to listed email contact offreing to pay. No one is on sight to collect money.
In a small side channel off the ICW. There is substantial barge traffic, but that did not cause noticeable rocking overnight.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We stayed overnight on our trip from New Orleans to Houston. There aren't many places to stay overnight along the ICW. The dock is in great shape and has 50 Amp power, water, and pump out. During our stay the pump out actually didn't work, but it will be fixed. The dock sits along a small city park, nice and peaceful. There are no grocery stores or restaurants within easy walking distance. The immediate neighborhood seems fine, but a longer walk takes you through some rougher looking neighborhoods that are probably best avoided after dark. Uber is available, but there aren't many drivers in the area so you may have to pay for a higher service level.

We have a 5 ft draft and docked at the second power pedestal with 7 ft of water at the dock. There is room for at least 3, 40 ft boats, 5 ft draft from the GIWW to the 2nd pedestal. The docks are fixed wood with only a foot or less tide. We stayed 6 days, great walking, biking paths and easy access to town. The Pit stop grill has a great hamburger, nothing else is close. We visited 4 restaurants during our stay, none of them were disappointing. The Ice Cream parlor is well worth the visit. Ann is the current contact but is hard to reach.

Houma Town Dock. February 12, 2022. Sam of WhatYachtToDo on a training and delivery journey. SeaRay 480MY with a 4-ft draft. Made quite a few calls to the number and finally had one return from Ann. It is the first come, first served and luckily as we made the starboard turn coming from the north the first spot closest to the GIWW was available :-) Water pressure low, 50 + 30 amp power good. Next to a park. We did not leave the boat unattended. Rouse's delivered groceries to the boat. I walked downtown to watch the Super Bowl, and it just happened to be the Mardi Gras parade night. Houma has the second largest Mardi Gras parade in the country! Good restaurants. No WiFi, no restrooms. This could be a great Marina with a little bit of dredging and some improvements. There's really only enough depth for one boat with a 5' draft.

Made way to Houma in one day because of good fortune FOG (favor of God) of getting past bridges and locks in New Orleans. We arrived about thirty minutes after dark. When we first pulled into fairway, there were three boats tied along wall. These three boats were sharing two power poles. Looks as though these three have taken up semi- permanent residence.
After getting past the third boat, we found about 100 feet of open wall space, but no power poles. Then there was a fourth houseboat docked by a power pole. We got close to this houseboat and our 50 foot power cord was about twenty foot short of power pedestal. Used an extension to reach the pedestal.
We found depth the entire length of fairway to be 5-6 feet deep. Enjoyed the stay and will use again on the eastbound return.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We arrived while they were still cleaning up from the last hurricane. It is a narrow entrance to get in, but does have everything you need. We had power and water and they weren't charging people due to the hurricane cleanup. Great place for a pet. Lots of walking paths around the dock. It looks like this was a really nice place before the hurricane and given a little time I think it will be again.

Stayed 2.12.20. Great stop. Depth is 3.5ft at the end of the dock, we went foward little to get our of the way of the tugboats which put us at 3 ft. Power and water available. Free dock! Walked to Spigots Brew pub for early dinner. Cute town, wish would could stay longer.

Got here at night. It was well lit and could see just fine. Unfortunately we ran aground almost immediately. We had to dock with our Stern almost to the water way. We were too far to be able to get power too. There really is nothing much around either. Thought there would be more. Not really sailboat friendly due to the shallow depth.

Nice tie-up, not a marina per say, no fuel, no personnel but electricity and water, and FREE. Directly off the Gulf Intracoastal in the middle of town. Because of 6 foot draft, we had to take the first tie up on the dock. Sailboat captain already there said further up was less than 5 ft and tugboat waves would pull water out of the inlet. Dock was part of a nice park that locals would pass by on the walkway. Uber got us to close by stores and restaurant. Would stop here again.

Really nice downtown marina/Park. We were traveling during Covid so the electrical & water were open for use NO CHARGE. We stayed coming & going on our trip. Great place to stay. Lots of locals walking the park. My wife walks every morning so they have a pedestrian walking area around marina/park & downtown. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Note: Free Pumpout pump didn't work.

Would only stop there if I had no other alternative. The facilities are limited. When I tried to call the harbormaster to reserve a space he accused me of being a crank caller and hung up. I could not get him to answer the phone after this. I got to the marina and tied up to an available space. About an hour later the harbor master showed up - he pounded on the cabin of the boat until I came out, demanded $40 for the night. We gave him $40 and never saw him again. The people of Houma are very nice and proud of their town but it really didn’t have much to offer. We were relieved to leave the next day.

Nice little spot to stop and tie up. As others have said not really a marina, more of a dock with water/electric. Walked up to Pit Stop restaurant; it's 24/7 and the food was pretty good. There is a fair amount of ICW traffic, but no problems. The park is a huge bonus if you have kids with you (swings, playscapes, etc). Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it doesn't have restrooms/showers. Overall I'd say it's a nice spot to stay the night and I would stay here again.

Pleasant surprise, stayed twice. This is a park with a bulkhead. At 5.5 was careful but had no problems. Canal bar walking distance is fun. A couple of seafood restaurants walking and Uber distance. Particularly crawfish menu. Hospital next door if needed. Verify on the fuel issue. The company.may be defunct recently.

This was a nice, easy stop, all previous comments are accurate. No fuel but if you need it, just 3.5 NM East, or in other words .5 miles east of Prospect bridge is Gauberts fuel & oil (gas & diesel) on the south bank. 985-876-1102, You can't miss it, large storage tank with their name on it, they're 24/7. If you're not Cajun, it's pronounced "go-bears"

We stayed here for 4 days waiting for a weather window and taking a break. This marina has water and electric but no showers or laundry. If you draw more than 4.5 feet I would not go very far up the bayou as it gets real shallow. Watched a boat have a hard time. All in all, not too bad, park like environment and walking distance to restaurants, stores, and the rent car company will come and pick you up.

Great little city owned Marina. Ray, the harbor master, is a good man and will come out on a Sunday to help. Cost is reasonable.
I wish there were restrooms but it's ok.
You are right off the intracostal and barge traffic will move you around some. Tie off wellView location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

This is not really a marina in the true sense of the word. It's really more of an overnight tie-up along the dock. It's also very shallow, so larger boats can only tie up at the end of the dock which puts you in direct line of the wakes from the ICW. However, it's really a beautiful spot and you have a lot of amenities within walking distance of a few blocks. Ray was great in terms of communication, and water and power was available. So not a bad spot.
