The Sportsman Marina in Killarney is a very nice marina. We planned to stay for two days to avoid a weather front and wound up staying an extra day. The marina is on both sides of the channel. They provide a shuttle service from 0800 to 2300 to get folks on the south side of the channel to the main marina. On both sides of the marina there are stable floating docks with power/water pedestals at each slip. The Sportsman Inn is located on the marina grounds and has a restaurant/bar that is open until 0100, and serves pub food until 2200. The marina is located in the heart of Killarney with a small grocery store, LCBO and restaurants all within easy walking distance. We can recommend the Gateway Restaurant and Bakery for a tasty breakfast and great lunch sandwiches. Our group also had the fish and chips at Herberts Fisheries. Three of us thought the fish and chips at Herberts was better than Henry's Fish Restaurant on Frying Pan Island, one thought Henry's was better. Sportsman's Marina has arrangements with the Killarney Mountain Lodge, which allows you access to their facilities. There is a high-end restaurant at the lodge that was an interesting change of pace, and we got a massage at the spa that was amazing. This was a very good stop, and we will do this again.

Wonderful all around stay for two nights to avoid 30+ MPH wind in the North Channel.
Dock hands and over customer service was great.
Good shower and laundry facility convenient to the dock. A short walk to Mountain Lodge and other businesses around Killarney.
We initially planned to stay at the Mountain Lodge however they were full so we moved to the Sportsman and were glad as it was quieter.
We hiked to the Lighthouse which was beautiful.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Two locations they can put you up at. The first is in front of the inn and the other across the channel on the island. Both locations have washrooms and showers but only the location in front of the inn has laundry. Facilities are clean but the island location where we were at requires us to wait for washrooms due to high number of boaters there. They run a shuttle from 7 AM until 10 PM to assist those on the island to get to the side with restaurants and shopping. We found the shuttle very responsive to our requests to cross. Great hiking on the island side. WiFi was non existent on the island side. The staff is friendly and helpful but we found this location to be very busy so staff is busy as well. Food in restaurants (Pub and restaurant) was very good. Be careful of the current running through the channel.

Great staff. Sort of pricey but you get use of the facilities at Killarney Mountain Lodge although it is a hike to get there.

Great place and very accommodating. With a choice to stay here or their sister property Killarney Mountain Lodge, the choice is very clear. The Mountain Lodge was rude when I called, and the place was swarming with kids. It has a very nice workout room, however. The sportsman Inn helped with a package delivery from the states and the shuttle from the George island side to the Inn was awesome. They even offered a personal car to go the post office a block away in case the package was heavy. Great restaurant and bar on site as well!

Cannot say enough about Killarney - great place! Nice marina and fun walk to other property. Bakery nearby has great fritters and fresh bread. Take a walk to see the big oar!

We were lucky to get a slip at The Sportsman's Inn since other marinas (e.g. Killarney Mountain Inn) were full. We had planned to go to Covered Portage anchorage, but tucked in to the marina for 2 days due to an expected thunderstorm and winds up to 40 knots the next day. The marina has floating slips on 2 sides of the channel. Our side had only 2 bathrooms and 2 showers, which were not enough for the number of boats. Additional showers and paid laundry were across the channel. The internet was spotty at best. Fuel was the most expensive that we've seen on the Loop. Restaurants and a small grocery are within walking distance. We were disappointed with this marina since we felt it was too expensive ($2 per foot + $20/night for 30 amp power + a required $10 per night for a "resort fee"). We were told that the resort fee covered the bathrooms, showers, laundery, water taxi, garbage (which are normally covered with the nightly fee) and use of the canoes, pool and grounds at nearby Killarney Mountain Inn. We felt that the resort fee should have been optional since we didn't use the Killarney Mountain Inn amenities.

There are slips on both sides of the canal. On the mainland side (by the lodge) the slips are older and narrower. On the George Island side, the slips look and feel new, with good electric and wide slips. i recommend staying on this side. The marina provides a water taxi to take you across the 200 yrd channel with merely a call on channel 68 or a phone call. No hassle all.
They also have bicycles and water paddle boats free of charge for your use. In 2018, they charged $2/foot PLUS $30 for 50 amp service. A bit pricey, but not totally uncommon up here.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Beautiful marina. We didn't stay here but I walked over to check out the facilities. The bathrooms and laundry rooms were clean and the facility was so pretty....we ended up getting a couples massage at the spa. If we hadn't stayed at the Killarney Mountain Lodge - this would've been the next best thing!
