Docks are sturdy with good cleats. Shore power works well. Docking staff are proactive and enthusiastic. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Free WiFi works very well. Free laundry with one washer and dryer. You can only book on-line so be prepared for a labyrinth of cumbersome documents to sign off on. B dock uses gate key cards which you must put down a $100 deposit on each in case they are not returned. Not a big deal as they gave back our deposit same day we left. There are private restrooms with showers but need some updating and cleaning. Monitor channel 68 as they will hail you. Not 16 then switch to 68 as you may expect.

Only three things you need to know about this nice Marina:

    1) Good Location night 3 from Trent Port Marina.

    2) They do not answer their phone! Don't waste your time going through their labyrinth of voicemail. They will not answer ever!

    3) Most importantly - the current rips through this Marina pushing you hard into the slips - beware! Go very wide to starboard upon arrival.

Peterborough Marina (city). Three nights 5/26/2024 to 5/28/2024 due to weather. If you plan to visit the marina, I recommend you fill out the online registration form in advance: www.peterborough.ca/marina. If you call the number 705.742.0050 you may get the Peterbourough Recreation Services Division answering recording. Press #3 and then #2 for slip rentals. On 5/26/2024 diesel was $2.25 Canadian/liter or about $6.24 USD/gallon. The pumpout was $20.67 Canadian or about $15.09 USD. Marina offers private washroom/showers and complimentary washer/dryer. Each pier has a code operated security gate. Excellent internet service. Above the marina office is The Light House restaurant, serving Mediterranean food and having a good view of Little Lake. Located at the edge of town, a causal walk will find eateries, pubs, and other stores. I patronized the close by No Frills grocery store which was well stocked. I also patronized the Silver Bean caffe just past the grocery store located on the river walk. I recommend Peterborough Marina.

Dock hands, while short staffed, we're amazing!! They handled at least 5 looper boats and several others with grace as they were being tapped at by many over VHF. A little tricky getting to fuel dock and slips due to strong current but manageable if you just take your time. Docks are good and secured by gate, 1 courtesy washer/dryer, bathrooms - average but secure each with individual deadbolt lock, restaurant at marina marginal. We shortened our stay to one night as that's all you'll need.

Locked gates to docks for security, bath/showers are old dirty looking. Close to grocery, pharmacy, marine supplies, and numerous restaurants. Multiple dock hands to help with arrival. Liftlock Rivercruises moored right next to our boat with an engine/generator running all night long (C-dock T head). This was annoying. Unique to have a rock concert right next door in the park. You will see some urban grit, homeless people, etc, but feels safe enough.

This marina is in a great location in the heart of Town. You can walk to groceries, many restaurants, liquor/beer stores and hundreds of restaurants. There are free concerts next to the marina in the park on Wednesday and Saturday. It does get a little noisy with boats staying for the night. Restrooms could use some sprucing up but there is free laundry (but only one of each). Locked gates which is great too.

Stayed a week and loved the location which is walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops and groceries. It's next to an outdoor venue with live music so can be loud on weekends but nice free concerts. Reservation process is a bit of a hassle. Gated docks with some homeless around. Short distance to visit the Peterborough Lift Lock.

Peterborough marina is very nice and a popular Looper stop. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The marina has fuel, pump out services, many bathroom/showers and one washer/drier. They sponsored a concert (Meatloaf cover band) on our first night. There are many restaurants, stores and shops nearby. We would stay here again!

We stayed one night in mid-July of 2022. It was necessary to complete an online form including proof of insurance to make a reservation. The marina spotted us coming across the lake and hailed us rather than the other way around so they were paying attention. It was easy to dock for fuel and pump out before going to our slip. Although a bit weedy, the fairways were in good condition and depth for our draft. Nice docks with 50A power and tremendous water pressure on the docks. Boater restrooms/showers were clean. Easy walk to all groceries, bakeries, restaurants, etc. One can see the east wall on the low side of Ashburn Lock/Lock 19 so it's easy to time departure from the marina so as to avoid having to hold station out in the lake waiting for the lock to open. This is a good place to dtop for a night or two.

Don has excellent staff on hand for all your docking and marina needs. Benh Holland is there on a seemingly daily basis and he is ready and willing to cater to all your needs. He is waiting on the dock when you approach calling out distances to make your docking smoother. I watched him call a local septic truck for the boaters when the marina's pump-out broke down. He really understands what is important to cruisers and live-aboards.
