We had a nice stay at this rustic marina. The docks were recently updated, and the marina office person was nice. The pool looked inviting but the weather wasn’t conducive to swimming. The restrooms need more regular maintenance and updating. There were many dog droppings along the marina paths and most grassy areas. A pretty spot with lots of potential.

We called to book a transient slip and the reservation was made through what seemed to be a call center. We were concerned about the narrow entrance/ depth and wanted to talk to the dock master but were required to make payment before being connected. The dock master assured us he had 6' draft (same as us) sailboats coming in all the time. Tides are critical and we were just off high tide. We were advised to stay to either side of the entry channel as there was a rock in the middle that would be an issue at low tide. We had to wait out the t-storm and realized we would have to leave at 03:30 next morning or after noon to get out safely. We were not comfortable and opted to drop anchor. Lesson learned, complete your research before committing. The Potomac is challenging for boats of our size.

Great marina, friendly staff. Nice pool and Tim's Restaurant which unfortunately has been essentially closed since Covid. That is sad.

Small area by Tim's to dock next to ramp. The ramp can be entertaining to watch. Good store.

People are great. Bathrooms could stand improvement. Covered slips have no cleats to tie up to.

The girl on the fuel dock was great. The men's room needs to have both toilets replaced. Old and ugly! Yuck!

The manager ( didn’t get his name) met us during a tremendous downpour to show us to our slip, take dock lines and hook up our shore power cord. We still got soaked but he did not shy away from helping us in very bad conditions.

Had reservations for this past Saturday night, no one responded on VHF radio or answered the phone. When I finally tracked someone down we were told to park in a slip right in front of the restaurant which meant we were forced to listen to loud music and watch flashing lights until midnight. We had requested a covered slip. There was no dockhand to help with docking. By the time we docked ourselves and hooked up power, I went to the office and it was closed! No one even came to check with us and provide us with the wifi password or marina information before closing. Closing a marina at 5:00 P.M. on a Saturday night in the summertime is crazy. We saw so many people coming in to gas up only to find the place is closed. From what we could see and experienced at this marina I would keep on cruising by and not stop. The marina is run down and does not look like anything like you see in the pictures on this page.

Service was good. Restaurant serves lunch and dinner, no breakfast. But overall stay was acceptable........
