Nice facility but very rolly at the docks in a sailboat if the waves are coming down the channel.

Room for about 5 40' boats with power and water. Another 6-7 without power. Bathroom is ok but not the cleanest. Trash overflowing. Nice bar and liquor store close. Model train museum very cool.

No restroom. Grocery about a mile away. If you fill up at Miller's just east be aware fuel cost is high but it's one of the last till west end of canal. Town was pretty dead during the day.

The price is right at $1 foot but the trains are practically running thru your boat every 10 minutes. The water ski practice is nice to watch but the wakes are like being on the ICW on Saturday afternoon for 2 hours straight. Couldn't they do it just a little away from the docked boats? I probably would not recommend to anyone to stop here unless it's there only option. I'm learning that what the guide books recommend is probably not the places I would pick.

We went thru this bridge in our sailboat and is a little tight. Bridge does not open straight up. Hug the north side so your mast has enough room to clear bridge. Don't give way to anyone and be aware of the current. It pushed us toward middle and scared me. When we came out I made sure to have plenty of speed to fight any effect of current. Slack tide is best but sometimes you don't have that option.

Only reason we picked this marina was for wife to play some slots and have a pool. Marina is big and they give you runway and you pick your own slip. Was windy and no help for tying up. Never used bathrooms at marina. Casino had a nice pool but drinks were $14 each for a rum runner. We were far enough away from bands that you didn’t hear them in boat.

Very nice place and beautiful town. Dock master worked with us to shorten our stay because of weather coming in. A little out of the way but great spot.

Best marina I have ever been in. Great pool, beautiful gardens and shady picnic areas, tons of showers and bathrooms, staff great. Diesel was cheapest on our loop trip. Highly recommend it.

Price is about $4 foot. No pump out. Directions to find dock confusing. No trash cans. Bathrooms and showers in hotel. Dock hands very good. Nice place but catering to rich boaters that don’t need anything off their boat. Definitely not a cruiser friendly marina. Very disappointing considering the cost. Only reason we chose it was only marina that could get 2 boats traveling together in.

      Marina Response:

Hi Dwight, we are really sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your time at our marina. It is a goal of Suntex to make sure every customer has the best experience. However, we did want to clarify a few things. Due to your late arrival we could not do your pump out yesterday, but it was done first thing this morning. There are white fiberglass trash cans in front of every slip. The showers are conveniently located in the pool building.

As a sign of our dedication to customer service, we did credit back the charge for power before you departed, and have now also credited you back for the pump out to make up for any inconvenience we caused. We hope that you will visit us again, and allow us the opportunity to make your stay an enjoyable one.

      Thanks!
