Pretty area with visitors center right next to the dock. Both of the "Angry's" restaurants are great- The Angry Garlic and The Angry Smokehouse. 30 amp power is available for a nominal charge. Did not see 50 amp. Floating docks wide and sturdy but a little rolly. Lots of local activities. Restrooms available during business hours on other side of canal. If you're into old cemeteries, there is a large old one next door.

Contrary to the info on Waterway Guide, the Village of Baldwinsville docks DO have power. There's a nominal fee and you pay by the honor system, dropping payment into a lockbox.

The marina area is grassy and shaded, and there's an information center with lovely gardens. Floating docks are sturdy and there is a newish looking ramp.

Restaurants are a stone's throw away. what a great find!!

The Waterway Guide listing lists the power service available and the fee. Where did you view the listing that you did not see the info?

Rehash of other reviews—everything is the same for 2024. Electric $5 for 30A, pay at drop box by visitors center. Floating dock on west end of south wall is a little noisy, but secure. Cross the canal at the west end lock gate to get to the bathrooms and showers. The building opened at 8:00 AM when we were there. Good restaurants in town. We would return here.

Nice semi-secluded spot on south side of the canal just west of the lock. Nice park area for walking dog. Free dockage and water but, as noted, a minimal fee is requested for power. Public bathrooms available on the island on the north side of the channel, but they are quite a hike away and they're run by the city and were not open until after 8:30 am the day we were there. Many nice restaurants and a craft brewery are within walking distance. A nice stop after Brewerton (fuel up at Winter Harbor; their prices are fantastic!) and they're about 54 miles and 5 locks west to Newark on the Erie canal.

This is a great little town with all of the amenities. Electric is $5.00 and is on the honor system. There are restrooms at the amphitheater with showers (25 cents a shower) Nice facilities. A bit of a walk to the restrooms if you are across the canal. You can cross over at the lock and do not have to walk all the way to the bridge.

Lovely small town with a welcome centre, book swap box, showers (25c to enter), water and power at docks (floating and wall) - honesty box for power.

In town (across river) there are at least 20 restaurants/bars. (Riverside dining, diners, Chinese, Mexican, etc) 24 Hour laundromat, ace hardware store and a couple of auto parts store (that will take your used oil)

there is an Aldi and Tops about a mile walk from lock. (South side)

Great location, easy access immediately following West passage through Lock 24 . . . $5 30 amp $10 50 amp service, many restaurants within short walk into town . . . Summer Concert across the canal, a bit loud but festive, rings for tie-up, concrete wall and floating docks . . .

No restroom. Grocery about a mile away. If you fill up at Miller's just east be aware fuel cost is high but it's one of the last till west end of canal. Town was pretty dead during the day.

Free docking, power is $5 for 30 amp and $10 for 50 amp hook up. Stayed 2 days. Decent floating dock. Close to town restaurants, a hardware store, and a Rite Aid (for ice) are all very walkable. Nice place to stop.

Same as 2019 review, except lower dock has 30A only. For 50A use the higher seawall.

Baldwinsville (Lock 24) has it all for the frugal canal cruiser. On the upstream side of the lock, the free dock wall south side (48 hr max stay) has access to 30A/50A power ($5/$10 day) plus fresh water. The waterfront park area is across from the Visitor's Center overlooking Lock 24. The downtown is easily walk-able with numerous restaurants near-by.
