6-11-24 The staff was very helpful and informative for a first time visitor. We were on the long dock on the north end in 8-10 feet of water. We were not impressed with the local brewery, but the downtown restaurants and bars were very good. The Virginia Air and Space Museum is a must see, and the 1920's Carousel is pretty cool.

Great stop. Echo previous good reviews. Of note, the Enterprise Car Rental office is no longer across the street. Closest is several miles away. Office on 1004 W Mercury Drive has limited shuttle pick-up and drop off only on weekdays. Need to call office to arrange.

Great stop with lots of shops and restuarants (2 adjacent and many 2 blocks away) as well as the air/space museum. As of summer 2022 you can use the hotel pool again. Staff is great. Slips closer to the marina office are better with less bridge noise and closer to the bathrooms which are clean/nice.

May 16 2022 wonderful stay again. Visiting our friends here. Thank you kindly Dock master Danny was a pleasure to work with and very helpful again. Really enjoyed going to Virgina NASA center this time. Also on Friday nights Grey Goose restaurant has two for one Prime Rib special. Good amount of restaurants nearby. Good washrooms and showers. Laundry available. Floating docks in very good condition. Some current so slack would be helpful for docking. Finger piers are 16' so backing in is the way to go. Free loaner bikes to go to Food Lion about a mile away or so.

Perfect location, staff extremely helpful. Docks are a bit challenging due to short finger piers.

Nice floating dock with very short finger piers. Friendly helpful dock hands. Bull Island Brewery is right at the piers and is a great place to enjoy some beer. Enterprise rentals is right next to the marina. Lots of great places to walk a dog and a dog park is one block away.

The attraction of this marina is the location close to downtown Hampton with many fine restaurants. The Virginia Air and Space Museum is not to be missed. It also has an iMax.

They have one washer and one dryer at $2 per load. The fingers are only 1/2 length and you will need help getting in since you’re coming in at right angles to the river current.

If you stay often, then consider the option to join their cruising club which lowers the price to 1$/ft with every fourth day free.

Hampton public pier...Dock staff is excellent! Laundry facilities are decent and access to pool is nice. However pool needs some umbrellas and some renovation. Love the dog park but needs to have water available. Love the floating dock. Great boaters garden!! Great location!!!!

We had a great experience mooring up here and visiting the Downtown Hampton area. A lot going on between the restaurants located right on the pier, the music, and all of the local art stores and the historic Queen St.

Nothing fancy but clean, accessible, and right in front of Bull Island Brewing Co. Great beer and good food. This is where our boating adventure started.

If you want a luxury marina with a swimming pool, this is not the place for you. However, if you are a self-sufficient cruiser, and want a sturdy floating dock within walking distance of the entire downtown, you ought to stay here. The wi-fi is the best we have encountefred so far. There is an Enterprise car rental less than half a block away. The electricity is good. If you stop in Hampton, I recommend the Venture restaurant downtown. It has a diverse menu, the most expensive entree was $18 (sauteed scallops--delicious), and delicious creme broulee.

Another attraction not to miss is the Mariners Museum in Newport News. This means that you have to rent a car for the day, but the museum only charfges a $1 admission fee, so it's worth it. This museum specializes in the revolutionary war, and is the best maritime museum we have seen on this entire trip.

Another not-to-miss attraction is the museum at Hampton University, immediately across the river from the marina. You can walk to this museum, or take the free loaner bikes from the marina. This is free, exceptionally well done, and a pleasant place to visit.

We will definitely be coming back here.

Great marina with floating docks and helpful staff. A short walk to many nice bars and restaurants. Well marked fairway after you pass the bridge tunnel. Would definitely stay again.
