Ryan the dock master was a rock star getting us into our slip. He was also impressive helping other boats leave tight slips safely. He was super helpful and made us feel welcome. The restaurant upstairs accommodated 10 of us for an excellent meal. We'll definitely be back!!

Great stop. Some of the best dockhands we've ever come across! I specifically want to mention Ryan - he was helpful, friendly and upbeat! This is a very busy place on a Friday afternoon/evening - live music was fun to listen to from the docks. Easy walk to downtown to explore. We ate at the upstairs restaurant - some of the best food we've found.

The marina was well-designed and their restaurant operation is great. We are at the tiki bar for lunch and at the upscale restaraunt upstairs for dinner. Both good. We particularly want to praise the deck hand Ryan. He was incredibly helpful and eager to be available if needed. He is a great asset to the operation!

Clement gave great instructions for getting into marina at low tide (gotta be careful!) and was terrific help with lines and power. Floating docks in great shape. Sushi at restaurant was fabulous! Facilities very nice. Yes, you do walk through the outdoor restaurant to access but no one's looking at you!! Live music at the Tiki Bar. Nice lighting in the evening. Cute little town to explore.

This was the rudest dock staff I have ever dealt with (and we loop so we have been around); we will not be back. I hope someone doesn't get hurt by their combination of youth and arrogance.

The dock across the channel was cheaper, extremely friendly and amazing food - Schaefers.

Excellent dockhands, they guided us in with cross wind and a very narrow alley.

Very tight tie ups. On weekends you might want to hold off on docking until later in the afternoon.

Slips are very close to the outdoor restaurant

An exceptional marina and restaurant. It is an absolute great place to stay, especially on the weekends. Had a wonderful band. New, clean restrooms. WiFi is good. T-Mobile and Verizon reception. Dock master is hard to reach in person, via voicemail or email. Now they do through Dockwa which works. Had to call Restaurant to get them to call me on the phone to confirm and for information. In any case, Clem, Parker and Ryan are super helpful. Hug the east bulkhead on entry. Sam and Rev on WhatYachtToDo

This is not our first stay at the marina. We arrived early afternoon and the dockmaster Shawn met us as we pulled in. He was quick and professional to get us secured to the floating dock and power hooked-up. He returned a couple minutes later with our paper work and bathhouse code.

The marina has two bathhouse rooms for transits, simple and clean. There are two downsides to the bathhouse: first users must walk through the out-door dining area (tables right next to the doors); and the rooms lacked sufficient air conditioning. An interesting note is the room on the left has a single shower, sink and toilet while the right one has two showers, single sink and toilet.

    The WiFi worked well.

The on-site Tiki-bar provides good food.

Upon departing prior to the Dockmaster office opening we could not find a place to dispose of our recyclables.

It's a nice marina with competent staff. Easy in and out. That's the good. We were there on rainy Sunday afternoon/night, so the outside facilities of restaurant were essentially closed. If the weather had been nice, we understand this is a "happening" place. If that's your thing great. If not, forewarned.

Warning to fellow boaters. This place is a mess. The Dockmaster told me they don’t take reaervations and to hail within range. I did. No answer. I called. No answer. Finally was told via phone that there would be green shirted hands to help me when I arrived. Pulled in. No one. Tied up. Told I was at the wrong dock and they needed to dredge before they could accommodate larger boats. Are you kidding me? Dock hand finally came (who was helpful and apologetic) said the girls in the gift shop don’t know anything about boats. Docked at Schaefer’s across the channel. Responsive, helpful and terrific food. Not likely to return to Chesapeake Inn!

Stopped here to wait out the weather for our run to Cape May. The marina caters more to the recreational boater and locals who come in to party at the bar and get drunk. We were here over the weekend and the noise went on until after 1:00am, even on Sunday evening. A girl puked on my husband's shoes as he tried to make his way from our boat to the bathrooms. Mess still there in the morning. Bathrooms needed cleaning and where they are located is where all the drunk smokers hang out so you have to try to make your way through them to get to the door. The key pads are tricky. They don't light up until you run through a bunch of numbers first. For what we paid $2.75/ft over the weekend I would expect much better. Which is sad because there is a good restaurant on site, dock staff are very helpful and knowledgable and there's a quaint town to walk around in. If you are looking for quiet, restful stop this is not it.

Great setting half way through the C&D Canal. Restaurant on site, great country roads to walk dogs or ride the rolling hills in a bicycle.
