Depth was 9' well past boat launch. Early arrivals need to go in far enough for late arrivals to get off the river. Good holding in mud; no current and stern anchor recommended. Lumber everywhere, but we didn't foul either anchor. Quiet and peaceful, with a small dock at the boat ramp for easy shore access. 1-2 bars of T-Mobile reception.

No wind so boats did not move all night. Slept well. 5 feet at the entrance with 8 feet where we were rafted. We were the last boat in so we backed out.

Draft: 3.5'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:5Current Flow:5Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:5Nice anchorage if you can fit in. We are 41' and were able to spin around with about 8-10' to spare in front and back. Deep water (8'+) all the way to the snags where you can not go any further. Room for 4 boats or more if you raft. We used bow and stern anchor. They came up a little muddy but held well in what little wind came through the trees.

Minimum 8 feet depths to anchorage about 400 feet past boat ramp, anchored in 10 feet of water. Used stern anchor as passing tows sometimes cause boat to swing to shore. We turned our 45 ft boat around before departure. We have anchored with several boats at this anchorage in the past.

But especially if you are 36 feet or less it is a great anchor. We anchored up about 100 yards up from the boat ramp. In the morning we took our dinghies up to the end of the creek, highly recommend this trip. That night we had 4 boats in the creek, with room for more. We were comfortably able to turn around our 32 foot Nordic Tug on leaving.

Very narrow but deep enough to turn the boat around. It was 9' right up to the shore! There was a lot of floating vegetation the further you went in. We used a stern anchor to keep us in the middle of the creek. Several branches from trees hang into the passage.

Draft: 4.8'Overall Rating:4Holding:4Wind Protection:5Current Flow:5Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:3Shore Access:2Cell Service:1I was leery of this anchorage based on other reviews but tried it anyway because of its location and the absence of other good options within a reasonable distance. Entered creek late afternoon May 13, 2022. Water depths were good, never saw less then 6ft at entrance with more then 9ft in the middle between the banks further in. Fallen trees along both sides but our 53' Carver raised pilothouse had no trouble navigating between what I estimate was a 25+ ft open path. We traveled in about 100 yards past the boat ramp, moved to the starboard side (south) until depth dropped to less than 6ft and dropped the anchor. I backed to a downed tree and tied a line from stern. Very quite, peaceful and the heave tree cover made it noticeable cool after being in the sunny upper 80's in the river. Only saw a few boat at ramp, more the a few hundred feet away. About 6:00am we untied from the tree, pulled up anchor from what appeared to be a firm muddy bottom (anchor fairly clean) and backed out to the river. This is a very remote and primitive site and cell service using Verizon and T-Mobile hotspot was weak.

Room for about 8 or more boats depending on size of course, and if everyone cooperates. It has always been over 6' deep for us and no less than 4' 6" deep at the edge of the shoreline. Anchor 200' or so past the boat ramp which makes a good landing for the dog.
